Notts County Winter Training 5th/6th April
With the help from some GPS loaned by Bill Aylward (SailTrack) we were able to add another dimension to the coaching.
With these GPS units, the ground tracks of each boat were logged, and then were played back using "SailTrack". Not only did this software show us the routes our boats took, it helped us see tactical decisions in a different way. We could see headers and lifts, laylines, our steering, angles of sailing, boat speed and many more useful things that we don't get from video.

Steve Nicholson Memorial Trophy
It was a record turnout overall for the Steve Nicholson Trophy this year on a surprisingly dry Saturday, and the event raised an amazing sum of over £2700 for Asthma UK!
However, it was not such a record turnout for the 405s – only three boats managed to attend this year: Stuart Harris and Emily Castle in 408; Will Alloway and Glen Burrows in 98 and Helen and Sarah Burgess in 344.
